Antonio Alemán has been in the business for over sixty years modelling with his hands the clay with which he manufactures clay tiles. The craft has run through the family for over six generations and has been taught from fathers to sons. They continue to elaborate ceramic pieces in an artisanal way, manufacturing flooring, bricks, restoration pieces, tiling, roof tiles, tegular tiles and other many products.
Because of its shape, size, texture, aesthetic and colouring there are not two pieces alike, what gives each of the pieces they elaborate the title of “unique”. Because of its quality and characteristics, his fired clay tiles are used both in new constructions – for aesthetic reasons – and in restorations of historic buildings in Spain and abroad.
They make a constant effort in improving, searching for an even higher quality of their products. They follow respectful processes environment-wise, reusing everything originated as a result of the production process. Their aim is to continue working the craft so the new generations get to know it in the same way they got to learn it from their predecessors.
The craft related to the manufacture of tiles and bricks has been part of the family for many years. It has been passed on from fathers to sons, and today they are the sixth generation of artisans working in the field.
Antonio Alemán has trained and taught all the workers he’s had working for him in his business throughout the years. He also has teaching experience, which he has obtained after teaching in several different schools/workshops.
