DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

He uses exclusively the coal forge, not the gas forge, so the finish of the material is the same as it has always been. He uses all the traditional techniques in his works: sharpening, laminating, upset forging, chipping, punching, etc., paying special attention –as always- to the joining techniques such as forge welding, clamps or rivets. 

He manufactures Romanesque-style and Gothic-style grilles, as well as other unique ones such as the reja del diablo (iron grille with their bars alternatively going through or being gone through the perpendicular ones). He also forges and reproduces door knockers of the same styles, only using the former techniques to manufacture them, such as: forge welding for the ring of the knocker, chiselling of the plates, and the hardening of the iron by hammering for the springs of the locks, etc. 

He has carried out many forging works of all the locksmithing elements which you can usually find in old gates: nails, door knockers, grilles, angles, clamps, fasteners, locks, keyholes etc. Additionally, he carries out archaeometallurgy, building direct reduction furnaces and extracting iron from the different minerals there are in the mines throughout the different regions of the country.
