ACTIVITY
The Lobillo brothers make artisanal clay tiles and bricks. Their family firm was established in 1970, and over two generations of crafting clay tiles with traditional techniques they have acquired ample experience.
They produce handmade articles, moulding their tiles one by one. These are then fired… in “Arab” type kilns, using natural firewood and biomass.
Their only adaptation of the traditional technique for crafting these articles is in the use of machinery for mixing clays, with the benefit that mechanical mixing yields a better paste.
