Sofía is specialized in conservation and restoration as well as in the creation of all types of finishings elaborated with traditional materials and techniques. 

The different techniques she carries out are: lime and gypsum finishings, walls made of rammed earth and lime, continuous coloured finishings, sgraffito… techniques and lime and gypsum stuccoes, restoration of mural paintings, plastering, manufacture of terrajas (profile tools) to complete mouldings, and gilding with high calcium limes and with water. In all of them, before carrying out any sort of intervention, she evaluates how the wall or supporting element is built, what the conditions to which it will be exposed are (if it is inside or outside, if it has more or less humidity, etc.) and what characteristics the rendering which is going to be restored or applied has or needs. In the case of using pigments, these are of natural inorganic origin, to achieve the greatest possible stability and compatibility.

Likewise, she has a vast trajectory in the restoration of stonework, having carried out the restoration of many church façades and other emblematic buildings. This type of work enables to repair deteriorated volumes of stone, both by direct moulds and by silicon moulds. It is always necessary to connect with rods the original supporting element with the new addition to it. Once the volume is restored, then the usual tools for working with stone may be used, such as the bush hammer, mallet, drywall scratcher, miter box, scratcher and feeler gauges among others.

Apart from that, she also applies special treatments for metals in order to restore coated sheets of access gates.
