The family business led by Vicente Gragera was founded on 14 February 1915 by Manuel González Gómez. Then, his sons José y Antonio González Gómez inherited it, until 1970 when they passed it onto their nephew Casimiro Gragera González. In 1994, it was then inherited… by his own son Vicente Gragera Almirante, the current owner of the company. They carry out works in forged iron using both traditional and more current techniques.
The range of works they carry out went through different phases from the very beginning to nowadays. At first, their activity was only focussed on the manufacture of agricultural-related tools. Later, their field of action was broadened to those of construction and decoration, where today their activity is mostly developed.
Their works, both in the fields of construction and decoration, are elaborated exclusively under request. This means greater ease for the client since he/she is able to choose and modify any aspect of the manufacture of the works, in terms of size, shape and also finishing, making each finished piece exclusive and personalized to the desires of each client.
Fourth generation – within the family – of iron artisans.
Today, with the unstoppable progress of new technologies, crafts face one of their major challenges: surviving in a world where time and the purely material net value of things have imposed themselves on good work and… expertise, quality, durability and the sentimental value which artisan’s works have always represented. This is the reason why they strongly believe – and will strongly continue to believe – in training youngsters, allowing the continuity of this craft.
