C/ Real, 2 – 24877 Barrillos de las Arrimadas, La Ercina
He has spent the last ten years carrying out carving of stone. This is a very artisanal type of work for which he uses different manual tools such as chisels, maces, bush hammers, bull point chisels, rulers, squares, levelling implements, calibres, files and sandpaper.
He takes… special care in the finishing of the pieces, symmetry, polishing and relief, without giving importance to the time it takes him to carry out this work. To him, every piece of stone work is worth all the effort and dedication since this material is rather long-lasting. His technique is based on patience and creativity.
The blocks of limestone with which he carries out his works are from a quarry in Sierra Redonda, in the municipality of Boñar (the stone takes the name of the municipality: piedra de Boñar). He has also carried out works using marble stone.
Self-taught.
