ACTIVITY
Txikerra, S.L. is a firm located in Azpeitia (Guipúzcoa) devoted to traditional structural carpentry and in particular to the building and restoration of roofs and other wooden structures.
In both new work and restoration, they use not only new wood but also reclaimed timber, normally oak.… This is cleaned up and trimmed manually so as to ensure that it remains fit for purpose.
As well as building structural frameworks, the firm’s services include wood treatments and roof coverings.
Its team is led by Xabier Olaizola (a carpenter with some 30 years’ experience of making timber floors and roofs), Imanol Olaizola (a carpenter with some 20 years’ experience) and Yon Lazcano (a carpenter with over 15 years’ experience). Lastly is Ander Arruti, the firm’s building engineer.
TRAINING
Xabier Olaizola, Imanol Olaizola and Yon Lazcano were trained in the company Montajes Azkoitia by the carpenter Julián Elorza Elkoro.
