DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

Nono Martín has studied chemical engineering. He works with absolute passion and dedication to forge in his workshop in Alcaudete de la Jara.

From his first steps in the family business, where he carried out handrails or pieces for farming machinery and highway guard rails, the career of this master craftsman – acknowledged so by the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha – has evolved a lot throughout the years.

In his workshop, where forging is worked in the traditional way, the pieces he manufactures are always tailor-made, without any prefabricated elements and with exclusive designs. He carries out infinite types of pieces: lanterns, lamps, street lamps, grilles, gates, door knockers, hinges, locks, handles, nails, fraileros (external louvered shutters) and all sorts of furniture.

Apart from the knowledge of the tools and artisanal processes of forging acquired since his childhood, his artistic and architectural curiosity have enabled him to create pieces that, parting from traditional models, have a more personal design and character. In this sense, it is worth highlighting his sculptural works.

SELECTED WORKS

He has carried out all sorts of important works for villas and wine cellars. Because of their singularity, it is worth mentioning the stage settings for the historic fiction series “Águila Roja” and “La princesa de Éboli” and the works for different hotels in Spain, such as those for the Castle of Almodóvar in Córdoba, as well as his works carried out in other countries such as Japan and Malaysia.
