ACTIVITY
José María Campos carries out the restoration of old ceramic pieces and the replacement of pieces which are missing from the models to be restored, applying the same techniques, colours, tones, etc.
To that aim he carries out two types of processes:
Repairing errors or deteriorated elements… by using stuccoes, epoxy resins, acrylics, etc.
Replacement or substitution of old pieces for other new ones with the same techniques, colours, tones, etc.
For this purpose, they use different machinery: ceramic furnaces, galleteras, clay kneaders, laminating machines, etc.
The techniques they use for painting ceramics are: enamelling by immersing the piece, by pouring the enamel on it, cuerda seca (dy cord technique), tubat technique, lustreware, slipware, etc.
In terms of modelling, they carry out bas-relief, embossment, ronde-bosse, etc. The moulds he uses may be simple or more complex made of plaster, resins, etc.

1996 – 1999 Specialized in three courses on Ceramic Painting at the School of Artisans in Gelves (Della Robbia).
TEACHING
