In Ángel Gutiérrez’s workshop they carry out artisanal iron forged works, combined with metallic carpentry in general.
He manufactures all sorts of iron elements, from works involving artisanal manufacturing following traditional techniques (nails, hinges, locksmithing elements, handles, grilles, balusters, locks and keys), to other works involving… metallic carpentry where he very frequently combines traditional techniques and other more industrial ones (fences and locks, gates, balusters, wrought iron grilles, etc.)
He manufactures and restores – on request – old iron elements and all sorts of tools and iron utensils (adzes, gimlets, carpentry and masonry tools, farm implements, etc.)
He has been a blacksmith master for 16 years at the School/Workshop in Cabezón de la Sal.
Ángel has carried out different restoration works and other new ones in architecture following traditional techniques. Among them, it can be highlighted: the restoration of the wrought iron grilles of the Chapel Pantheon of the Palace of Sobrellano, in Comillas, as well as many other… elements such as locks or balusters combining traditional and modern techniques in historic complexes such as the one in Santillana del Mar or the one in Cabezón de la Sal.
