Artesanía en Pedra Parcerisa is a family stonemasonry firm with over 25 years’ experience made up of craftspeople specialised in various forms of stonework, such a arches, balustrades, fireplaces, pillars and columns, sculptures, fountains, mouldings or cornices.

They source their raw material from a quarry in… blocks of 20 to 30 tonnes. Once the boulder is in their workshop they feed it into a diamond-wire cutter that turns it into blocks, which are conveyed to a disc cutter for carving masonry stones to measure. The cut stones are then dressed largely by hand, with various finishes. The finishing techniques involve bush-hammering, punxonar boring or tallantar carving, with a hand mallet or an air hammer. Like machinery, an air hammer expedites the work.
