Bernardo Lope is a woodcarver specialised in making and restoring wooden corbels, altarpieces and furniture generally.
His work chiefly involves restoring, consolidating and finishing wooden pieces, along with replacing parts that are lacking or too damaged for reuse, mainly in altarpieces, eaves, doors, furniture and structures… of all kinds made of any wood.
He learnt the craft from Manuel Lope, and took further training at the restoration school in Santo Domingo de la Calzada.

Restoration of the eaves of the Town Halls of Viana and Haro, the La Rioja Museum and other buildings.
Carving for restorations of altarpieces in the churches of Santo Domingo, Cañas and Ventosa and the Cathedral of Santa María de La Redonda, among others.
