C/ Valle de Arán, 7 – 47010 Valladolid
The Castilla y León Craft Centre (CEARCAL) was established in 2002 by the regional government of Castilla y León, Valladolid City Hall and the Castilla y León Federation of Craft Organisations (FOACAL), and the latter is the Centre’s legal owner and financial mainstay.
CEARCAL has become… a national benchmark in continuing training and induction courses in artistic and traditional trades. The Centre delivers training continuously in over 17 trades and has over 430 trainees a year, in courses with ISO 9001 certification.
The Centre’s programme includes both long-term instruction and single-subject courses, as well as seminars, meetings or conferences, and thousands of pupils have taken part over the years in its training and outreach activities. In all of CEARCAL’s courses, diplomas are issued to certify the training received.
Besides training, CEARCAL runs many activities for the promotion of craftwork in Castilla y León and is a national benchmark of best practice in collaboration between the professional sector, regional government and provincial and local authorities. These activities involve projects such as the European Artistic Craft Days in Castilla y León or the only seminars held in any art school in the region, for which activity in 2019 it received the National Craft Award for Private Entities given by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
