Rufino, Ramón and Daniel Tofé are artisans dedicated to the manufacture of artistic forge, both classical and avant-garde.
They work on each of their pieces manually. Each piece is carried out as the old blacksmiths used to do it, hand-crafted. They are, however, aided by the… most up-to-date technology. All the works are carried out starting from a design which is carefully studied to fit each client’s needs, adapting the art of forge to both the needs and particular taste of the client, creating in this way, a unique and special piece each time.
The key elements within the workshop are the forge, the anvil and the hammers. Thanks to the heat of the fire and the blows of the hammer, they are able to shape, in an artisanal way, each of the pieces, making small adjustments to each of the smaller pieces of iron, in order to place them within the final piece.
They cover different fields, carrying out doors, fences, handrails and all sorts of furniture and accessories (lamps, coat racks, bed headrests…) and also other larger works, such as the clock of the Town Council of Laguardia or the sculptures placed at the top of the door of several wine cellars.
He inherited his passion for the craft from his family. His masters were his father Alejandro Tofé and his uncle.
