Hijos de Cesáreo Guerra, S. L. is a family business dating 1890. The fifth generation of the family is currently working in the workshop.
They have always been dedicated to the manufacture of ceramics both for pottery as for constructive elements: bricks and large or small… tiles. This is still their main activity as a company nowadays.
Their manufacturing method is the traditional one. It all starts with the preparation of the raw clay as it comes from the mine, until the finalization of the piece when it is fired in the kiln.
The products they manufacture are worked on in two different ways: pressed clay and hand-made clay. The pieces can also be enamelled with different colours and motives.
They also manufacture tailored pieces for restorations using the samples the client gives them, being able to reproduce whatever model they are given, regardless of its difficulty. For this reason they are a very popular business when it comes to the restoration of historic buildings.
Family training and learning. They have learnt the craft from their father, in the same location where the pottery workshop continues to be in, and where, since they were very young, they started to help in as well.
Throughout the years many workers have been part of the business and learnt something about the craft during the period they have been working there.
