ACTIVITY
A timber firm specialised in chestnut wood that makes all sorts of chestnut products, processed either simply or more elaborately.
In a first stage of woodwork, the division called Maderas Siero, S.A. makes posts and stakes for durable traditional fencing, without chemical treatments, as well as… solid chestnut beams and rafters and chestnut planks and boards.
The division called Siero Lam S.A. undertakes the second stage, making products such as chestnut tongue-and-groove or lap-jointed floorboards, chestnut decking, chestnut cladding, chestnut joinery profiles or solid chestnut and oak boards.
TRAINING
The first person in the family to start sawing wood was the current owner’s great-grandfather. The company has been working wood since 1940.
SELECTED WORK
Refurbishment of the Caixa Nova building in the historic centre of Santiago de Compostela and work at various pazo country houses in Galicia, the Monastery of Cornellana, Casa de los Cosme and the Monastery of Valdediós.
