ACTIVITY
The artists at Vidrio Artesanía, with over twenty five years of experience in the field of stained glass windows, are dedicated to the design, creation and repair of leaded and Tiffany stained glass windows, as well as to the design and repair of fired grisailles.
Multi-coloured… stained glass windows are elaborated with coloured glass pieces, which are painted or carried out with enamels. These pieces of glass are assembled using lead rods and tin welding. Once they are placed in their final destination, the stained glass windows transform the light that goes through them, generating an atmosphere that influences both space and spirit.
TRAINING
They learnt from the Artisan Master Daniel Mentxaka who trained them in the cutting, the assembly and the welding of stained glass windows.
SELECTED WORK
Restoration of the stained glass windows of the Library of the Provincial Council of Vizcaya and the restoration of the stained glass windows of the Station of Euskotren in the neighbourhood of Atxuri in Bilbao.
Manufacture of stained glass windows for the Convent of Berriz, the… Church of Ranera, the Church of Criales de Losa, the Church of the Chapel of San Roque, in Portugalete, the Soroa Hall in Donosti-San Sebastián…
Restoration of several types of stained glass windows in many different neighbourhood communities within the centre of Bilbao as well as other private works on request for dwellings and businesses.
