Pla de Quart, km4 – 46960 Valencia
During the early years of the 20th century the Camp family set up this business, which is still running, now with its fourth generation. They keep manufacturing with fired clay – using the same procedures their predecessors taught them – all sorts of pieces. This… family-run business was established as a Private Limited Company in the 90’s.
Clay, sawdust, the traditional Hoffman-type furnace and the skilful hands of the artisan enables them to manufacture bricks, tiles, to reproduce any type of piece – however unique it is – for all sorts of rehabilitations and to create new forms and designs.
Their products, manual bricks and tiles, are manufactured in an artisanal way with the traditional raw materials as well: water, earth and a lot of hard work. First of all they choose the right type of earths, and after pouring them into their basins, they add water, obtaining, after their kneading, the optimal clay for the manufacture of their products.
Tradition is not incompatible with innovation and modernity. Bricks and manual tiles can convey interiors, façades and new constructions a current and modern character, without forgetting that their manufacturing process is completely ecological.
He is the fourth generation within his family to be dedicated to the craft.
The workmen in the factory learnt the craft at the workshop itself, since there are no schools which teach how to do this type of work.
