This family painting workshop was founded by Diego Rodríguez López and his partner Alfonso de Silos in 1959. They did painting jobs in and around the town of Toledo, from traditional Toledan facades to signwriting, which made them well-regarded professionals all over Toledo province.

Today, Diego… Rodríguez Díaz-Guerra, son of the former Diego, together with Mariano Rodríguez continues the family trade by doing all sorts of painting work: facade restorations, wood treatments, trompe-l’oeil, faux effects, etc.

They specialise in Toledan facades, and accordingly work mainly on heritage buildings. So they set out always from a study of existing paint layers, determining a suitable conservation and restoration approach. Their trompe-l’oeil designs follow preconceived geometries and modulations, from imitation stone with shadows or faux brickwork to mock architectural features.
