ACTIVITY
She carries out embossed drawings on stone. In general, she is dedicated to working with stone both for newly-built constructions and restorations (jambs, lintels, arches, bases, columns, capitals, etc.).
She has always used sandstone, following the guidelines set since antiquity and using manual tools (chisels, tooth… chisels, hand tracers, mallets, etc.). She also introduces technology when it comes to carrying out very laborious works which would take very long to be carried out by hand, and which, however, by using technology, the quality of the final result is found to be unaltered.
TRAINING
Self-taught, parting from what she was taught by the stonemasons and marble masons Francisco Colillas, Antonio Vendrell, Lluís Parcerisa and the sculptor Sergi Mas.
TEACHING
Instructor of the module of Stonemasons at the School/Workshop in Cardona (1988-1991). She had ten students, but only one of them continues to work as a stonemason in a restoration company in Barcelona.
Basic 6 hour course for women to learn how to carve stone, delivered… in two municipalities of the area of Solsonès (Lleida).
