Roberto Rodríguez González builds and restores structural elements, chiefly timber roofs, floors and ceilings, using the building techniques and systems of various periods and geographies.
Firstly he marks and cuts timber for new structures, or for heritage restoration he fills gaps with solid glued wood, using… woods technically and visually matching the existing material. This process involves the tools and machines of the carpenter’s trade as well as a plan-drawing system of his own developed in recent years.
He is self-taught.
In 1986-88 he taught workshop carpentry at the Vigo Municipal Craft and Trade School (EMAO).
In 1988-2004 he taught workshop carpentry at various trade schools run by town councils in Pontevedra province.
