DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

Vitrales Huesca is a business founded in the year 1999 and dedicated to the manufacture and restoration of leaded and coppered stained glass windows. In their workshop they continue to use the same techniques the former masters used to use (grisaille, enamels, silver stain…), which makes the entire manufacture an artisanal, manual and unique process.

They have introduced some novelties regarding materials, both in lead (with a greater variety and rigidity) and glass, given the vast range of colours and textures which exist on the market today. Moreover, they have adapted to the demands of their clients and started to make use of new technologies, increasingly using the technique of aerography with enamels and grisailles.

Vitrales Huesca was a pioneer project within the province, and after eighteen years ongoing, it has grown to be a referent at an autonomic and national level.

APPRENTICESHIP

They have attended several courses oriented towards learning the different techniques.

TEACHING

The accumulated experience has enabled them – since 2011- to carry out formative tasks as well as the dissemination of information on the craft in different educational institutions and associations, giving courses and basic training for the manufacture and restoration of stained glass windows.
