Barrio Sococina S/N – 39591 Caranceja (Reocín)
Cantería Fernández is run by the third generation of master stonemasons who have picked up the baton from their predecessors to continue working with stone, both to carry out new constructions and restorations of monuments.
The elements they manufacture are: ashlars, arches, mouldings, carvings and any… type of stone work in general.
They mainly work with sandstone from Cantabria (San Pedro del Romeral) or Burgos (Quintanar or Dorada Urbión) and also limestone from la Ría de Tina Menor. For those initial tasks that do not require the quality provided by manual work, they use machines that facilitate the work. Examples of these are: the diamond grinding disc, the block cutter and manually-actioned mechanical tools both pneumatic and electrical.
