The artisan blacksmith’s workshop “La fragua del Pirineo” is located in the region of Jacetania, in the midst of the Aragon Pyrenees, where Pablo Valdelvira puts into practice his over 20 years’ experience in the art of working with iron, fire and anvils.
His work is… focussed on blacksmithing, standing out in the work carried out with forging, within which he manufactures products such as grilles, fences, doors and forged iron furniture, mostly on request and customized for each client.
They also manufacture staircases, wall lamps, lanterns for façades and other decorative elements in forged iron.
With the intellectual curiosity which characterizes him, at the early age of 16 he started visiting on a regular basis the workshop where an old school carpenter worked using artisanal techniques. He graduated in Sculpture, broadening his knowledge by working with different materials such as… stone, wood, and iron, specializing in this last one. With the passing of time he attended different courses and collaborated with different artisans among which it is worth highlighting his experience with F. Bramsteil, J. C. Quintana and at the School of Crafts in León.
His works have mainly consisted of private commissions. However, one can also mention the wrought iron grilles of the main access door to the Town Council in Jaca, the locksmith works of the Royal Pantheon in San Juan de la Peña, along with other numerous… interventions in churches where he has carried out reproductions of locksmithing elements and door handles.
